Book Tree helps readers discover books and authors. Registered readers can save books and follow authors. Book purchases take place on external author or retailer websites under those websites' terms. Book Tree does not process book purchases during this beta.
An ordinary author account may publish one book listing free for 12 months from its first successful publication. Removing a listing does not restart the trial. Existing launch accounts receive a trial start date assigned for the beta release rather than their historical publication date. Authors may edit their stored listing during the trial and grace period.
At the end of the trial, authors may choose whether to continue through a discounted paid membership when that option becomes available. The price and applicable payment terms will be presented before purchase. No automatic charge or paid subscription is created by joining the beta. Paid checkout is not currently available.
A 30-day grace period follows trial expiry. After the grace period, the listing may be hidden from public discovery. Hiding a listing does not permanently delete the account, book or uploaded records. Contact support about continuing or removing a listing. Reader access remains free.
Provide accurate author and book information and upload only content you have permission to use. You retain your rights in your content. You permit Book Tree to display the profile, cover, description and links you submit as part of the service. Do not impersonate authors, upload unlawful material, spam users or interfere with the service. Book Tree may remove unlawful or misleading listings and suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Book Tree is an early beta and features may change. Paid promotional tools, automatic trial reminders and automatic policy-change emails are not currently operational. Material changes affecting author payment or renewal will be presented before an author agrees to pay. Do not rely on an automatic reminder to determine your displayed trial end date.
