Review disclosure
Thank you Jock for allowing me a copy in exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Jock explores a wide range of subjects, including psychic gifts, ouija boards, dowsing, spiritual protection, possession and the dangers of working with the unseen. I liked that Jock acknowledges different religions and spiritual beliefs without dismissing them. He recognises that although practices may differ, many share the same fundamental principles. He explains his own beliefs while encouraging readers to think for themselves rather than simply accept everything at face value.

My favourite parts were the case studies. I found them fascinating and really enjoyed hearing about the experiences Jock shares. He also has a great sense of humour and made me laugh out loud, particularly when he admits that some of his own experiences scare the crap out of him!

He comes across as genuine and down to earth. I also enjoyed his comments about people expecting a stereotypical fortune teller, only to find an ordinary bloke in combats with tattoos. You can’t judge a book by its cover, and apparently you can’t judge a medium by theirs either!

There were plenty of passages that made me stop and think, particularly his advice about spiritual protection, developing abilities safely and bringing mind, body and soul together.

I also appreciated the references, quotes and website links that allow readers to explore subjects further. One line that particularly stuck with me was:

“Remember, you are not a ghostbuster and you are serving the Great Spirit and Humanity.”

I thought this summed up his message beautifully: responsibility, compassion and having the right intentions.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I learnt things I didn’t know, had a few laughs and came away with plenty to think about. Jock’s honesty, humour and willingness to share his knowledge without expecting everyone to agree with him made this a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I definitely recommend for anyone interested in mediumship, psychic development or spiritual protection.
